We wish to welcome Mr. Steven Banning who will be assisting our students and community members cross at the corner of Government and Prince Edward. November 10, 2010
We want to welcome back Bob, our crossing guard. He has been off for several weeks due to a broken foot. He will return on Monday, November, 15.
Our Mac Lab is finally up and running. The 29 iMac computers and mobile cart, purchased by the parent council, are now available for use by students.
As posted on Ms. Caddel's blog, there have reports of lice at LKS. Here is a great link from Toronto Public Health. Toronto Public Health - Head Lice

Peer Helpers @ LKS
Last week, LKS launched a new Peer Mediation Program. Grade 6 students, who were selected by their teachers for their leadership skills, were trained in conflict resolution and peer mediation. The peer helpers will be available during morning and afternoon recess to help resolve conflict amongst younger students and their peers.
Crossing Guard Update
Bob, our crossing guard, is scheduled to be back on November 17. He is doing well and slowly recovering. Until his return, we hope to continue having a replacement, as we have had this week.
