Empathy

As a class text assignment, Mrs. Adair inspired her students to explore Empathy and make personal connections.  Daria, one of Mrs Adair's Gr 3 students did just that.  Daria's text below is truly amazing!  Not only did Daria receive the class award for Empathy, but she also presented her text to all grades 1 - 3 students at the recognition assembly.  Congratulations Daria!  We are all very proud of you!

Storyteller visit

Hugh Brewster Visit

Author Hugh Brewster visited LKS today and spoke to the Grade 3 - 8 classes.  Students were engaged in his storytelling and the details he provided on the Canadian assault on Vimy Ridge during WWII.  He spoke about his many books as well and the process or researching and writing.  A bigh thank you to Ms. McGee for organizing the visit and for the LKS parent council for supporting this visit.  For more information on Hugh Brewster, feel free to visit his web site.
