LKS celebrates the International Day of the Girl

Last March, the United Nations declared October 11 the International Day of the Girl to recognize girls’ rights and the unique challenges they face around the world.  Yesterday, Ms Zappi and her Grade 4 class celebrated in their own way.  Children came together to share stories and create wonderful performances.   There was much discussion surrounding the unique challenges girls face  and recognizing the importance of social change.  Thank you to Ms. Zappi and her class for participating in this first-ever event.  Congratulations!
