Babysitting Certification Course run by the Red Cross Saturday April 6
Trustee Gough is sponsoring a Babysitting Certification Course on Saturday April 6 from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm at Bloorlea Middle School (4050 Bloor Street West). Youth 10 years and up who want to become a babysitter or may already be one are invited to register for this certification course offered by the Red Cross. The course covers the responsibilities of a babysitter, safety tips, basic child care skills and how to run your babysitting business. Ward Forum on Learning Exceptionalities 101 - Gifted, Learning Disabled or Both? - Tuesday April 23
The next Ward Forum will focus on Learning Exceptionalities 101 - Gifted, Learning Disabled or Both? It will be held on Tuesday April 23 at 7 pm in the Library of Seventh Street JS (101 Seventh Street – south of Lake Shore Blvd. W. and Islington Ave. Enter from Sixth Street just east of Islington Ave.)
TDSB special education experts will help parents to understand the process of identifying, assessing and teaching exceptional learners, especially those in Grades 1-5. We will be discussing how children who learn in different ways can be supported in their learning, at school and at home.
